The Next GENeration of GENBAND
Charlie Vogt, President and CEO of GENBAND

Last week GENBAND reached an important milestone in our journey to become a leader in next generation IP switching, as we formally completed the acquisition of the Nortel Carrier VoIP and Application Solutions Business (CVAS).

The combination of CVAS and GENBAND is a significant event for the industry, creating the most comprehensive, open architecture, IP switching portfolio in the world, with best-in-class, end-to-end switching and global services portfolios to serve your needs. This transaction strengthens our core commitment and ability to cost effectively modernize networks, maximize existing investments and converge fixed and mobile infrastructures.

Earlier this week I also announced my strengthened management team, completing the foundation of a core team that will lead the company's unprecedented growth. Under this exceptional leadership, we now face the extraordinary opportunity of maximizing the combination of GENBAND and Nortel CVAS.

For months our integration team has been working around the clock with relentless dedication to prepare for a smooth transition. Central to our efforts is our unwavering committed to honor existing agreements and facilitate a seamless transition that continues to support your business requirements.

I am humbled and honored to lead such a skilled and passionate team, with an unmatched and strategically integrated portfolio of products and services designed to support your network evolution. With the addition of Nortel CVAS, GENBAND now has vast resources in R&D, sales and support spanning nearly 50 countries. We will build on our combined legacy of delivering innovative carrier solutions that lay the groundwork for an all-IP future.

Our acquisition of Nortel CVAS is a culmination of years of strategic planning, innovation and execution, but at the same time it is just the beginning of an entirely new frontier. This transaction marks a monumental milestone that changes today's telecom landscape.

I look forward to continuing the service and support you expect and enhancing it with a compelling roadmap of opportunities and innovation. Thank you for your business and continued partnership.
