Management Team

Daniel R. Lakey is a seasoned telecommunications veteran with a broad background working on both the service provider and equipment vendor sides of the business.  Lakey is responsible for sales in the Americas, including both North and South America, for GENBAND.  During his three-year tenure at GENBAND, Lakey has held executive level positions including senior vice president of North America Sales, general manager of the Applications Division, and vice president of Channel Sales.   Prior to GENBAND, Lakey held senior level sales, marketing, and product management positions at Tekelec (formerly Taqua).  In these positions, he provided strategic sales, product, and market guidance for VoIP networks, applications, and services.  Lakey has more than 18 years of sales, management, and consulting experience in the telecommunications industry, with over a decade at NYNEX (now Verizon), where he held various network sales and engineering  positions.  Lakey holds a master’s of business administration degree from the University of Massachusetts and a bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University, where he studied economics.
